No, because the concrete is poured in situ and the decorative patterns are cut later (but not all the way through). Unfortunately, if sand and soil are left sitting in the cuts then ants can still nest and weeds will still grow, but this will not undermine the concrete like it doesfor traditional paving.You can just hose it off!
While we take all due precautions – and go to considerable lengths to make sureyou concrete doesn’t crack – we cannot promise you won’t get hairline cracks. We do our bestto minimise the risk, but this is the nature of working with concrete.
Yes, keep your thongs on in summer! Exposed aggregate is a concrete product and therefore absorbs heat. However, it is still the best product for pathways, alfresco areas and perfect for durable eye-catching driveways.
